  • Inspiration Point Trailhead

    The Inspiration Point Trailhead is located in a residential neighborhood just off Tunnel Road. You’ll know that you’re close when you begin to see cars lining the right side of the road— it’s a popular hike!

    Once you arrive or park, keep walking up the street until you reach a large gate where you’ll see signage that indicates which direction you should take.

    It is a medium to difficult hike, but it has incredible views of the Santa Barbara coastline.

  • Tangerine Falls

    Check out this 2.2-mile out-and-back trail. As a disclaimer, this is generally considered a challenging hike. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. This adventure features an amazing creek, lots of boulders, and a 100 ft. waterfall.

  • Rattlesnake Canyon

    Enjoy this 4.5-mile out-and-back trail that is generally considered a challenging route. It takes an average of 3 h to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, horseback riding, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

  • Hot Springs Canyon Trailhead

    Located in Montecito, this 3.5-mile loop trail is generally considered a challenging route, and it takes an average of 2h 15 min to complete. This hike meanders through open space behind a gorgeous neighborhood and ends at a hot spring. The trail is super popular so don't expect to find much solitude here. You will, however, find lots of wildflowers, a good workout, and a nice (communal) soak in the pools if you like.

  • Miramar Beach

    Miramar Beach is a narrow sandy enclave surrounded by incredible beachfront properties and the iconic Rosewood Miramar Beach resort. For those not lodging along its coastline, you can access the public beach area via the Eucalyptus Lane Beach Access pathway.

  • Rincon Beach

    Widely respected for some of the Central Coast's best surfing, every age converges here on any one day. Visitors who want to take in the wonderful ocean views, have a picnic, take photographs, or stroll the beach will want to visit Rincon.

  • Leadbetter Beach

    Large beach and park adjacent to the Santa Barbara Harbor and Shoreline Park. The consistent surf break draws beginning surfers, windsurfers, paddleborders, and sailboats. The best part is at low tide, as you can walk to a wonderfully private, isolated strip of beach. There are also reservable areas for a grassy picnic and several barbecue sites.

  • Butterfly Beach

    Butterfly Beach is a favorite among Santa Barbara locals. The beach’s pristine shoreline is ideal for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. The amazing view of the cliffs that line the beach are iconic and it is one of the best beaches in Montecito.
