during the summer of covid 2020, Hayley was in New York and was spending time with her family and friends. one day she was scrolling through her instagram and saw a photo of Matt on her friend’s story that was posted for his 27th birthday. after that, Hayley thought, “Wow, this guy really looks like my type and why haven’t I met him before..” at first, Hayley’s friend wasn’t sure about setting them up, as matt had recently ended things with another girl they knew. However, Hayley’s friend’s husband knew it would be a good match, and insisted matt reach out to her.

On a summer pandemic Tuesday, Hayley posted a photo of a Bloody Mary by the pool. reference the photo above for their first message :)

After three months of non stop messaging bi-coastally, Hayley and matt finally got to meet for their first date in Los Angeles in September of 2020 at Rosaline on melrose. it was special because restaurants were finally open again for a brief period of time, and then and there, they knew there was a real connection. They held hands and walked home for two miles and finally matt made a move for their first kiss.

the rest of their first few months of dating resulted in many weekend trips, one of which was to Santa Barbara, and has since then been a forever favorite.

Kaia finally has a father. Hayley and matt moved in together in West Hollywood and love spending weekends going to dinner with friends, hiking, and going to movies and concerts.

they love to travel together in the summer and explore new countries, especially in Europe. they also love skiing and spending time with family in aspen and Denver over the holidays. Hayley always knew it would be a Colorado boy.
